Getting Started in Services

Welcome to Gabby's Grief Center.

We know the path to healing looks different for everyone, and we’re here to support you and your family, however you arrive.

Many people find their way to Gabby’s through social media, community events, or by word of mouth from schools, healthcare providers, funeral homes, religious organizations, and friends.

Start with an Informational Meeting
When you reach out, a caring team member will walk you through our services and help schedule an informational meeting at no cost. Before your visit, we’ll send you a welcome packet with details and enrollment forms to complete.

At your informational meeting, we’ll:
• Get to know your needs
• Create a personalized bereavement plan
• Give you a tour of our center
• Match you with the group or services that best support you

There’s no pressure—just a warm space to learn how we can walk with you through grief, at your own pace.

Support for Every Age and Phase of Grief

At Gabby’s Grief Center, we offer support for both children and adults, honoring each person’s unique experience with loss. Children and teens participate in age-specific peer groups, ranging from ages 4 to 18. In contrast, adults are connected in a variety of ways with others who have experienced a general loss or a similar type of loss, such as the death of a spouse, child, or other significant person in their life.

Our groups vary in format to meet you where you are. Some are open-ended and ongoing, while others follow a more structured, time-limited model. Gabby's Grief Center participants are companioned by trained facilitators who create a safe and compassionate space for sharing and healing.

You do not have to go through this alone—we’re here to walk with you.

Bereavement Support

Youth Bereavement Services

Children and teens experience grief in their own unique ways, and their needs change as they grow. To offer gentle support through every stage, we provide specialized programs and events designed specifically for children, youth, and teenagers. These tailored services create opportunities for young people, ages 4-18 years old, to be brave and express their feelings, share their stories, and gain understanding to navigate their grief.

Workplace Support

Grief is complex, and while a structured approach may have worked when life was more predictable, today’s reality is far from it. As the world continues to evolve, employees are often expected to stay positive and productive despite the uncertainty. By prioritizing mental wellness and encouraging open discussions about grief, employers can demonstrate genuine care, fostering a supportive environment that attracts and retains top talent.

Grief touches employees in various ways, significantly impacting mental health, yet it is seldom addressed in the workplace. Acknowledging and addressing grief can create a healthier work environment, reduce productivity losses, and retain valued employees. Making these conversations a normal part of the workplace is vital for the well-being of both individuals and the organization.

Employees may experience grief from a range of sources, such as job loss, changes in work roles, and family disruptions. Understanding these diverse expressions of grief allows HR leaders and managers to better support their teams. Employers can bridge the gap by empowering HR to offer bereavement leave, enhance PTO policies, and provide grief training. By shifting the perspective on grief and prioritizing mental wellness, companies can cultivate a resilient work culture that supports productivity and retains top talent in a continually changing world.
